This policy explains what SimWindy collects when you use this site and buy an eSIM, why, and what you can ask of us.
What we collect
- Account and contact — your name, the e-mail address you sign in with and, if you give it, your phone number.
- Your eSIMs — the plans you bought, their destination and validity, and the eSIM's identifiers (such as its ICCID and activation code), which you need to install and manage it.
- Payment — payment is taken by the payment provider you choose (for example a card processor or a mobile wallet). We receive a confirmation and a transaction reference, never your card number or wallet PIN.
- Technical — the IP address and browser of each visit, kept in short-lived logs for security and to keep the site working.
We do not see your browsing or what you use your data for; that traffic runs over the mobile networks, not through us.
Why we use it
To issue and deliver your eSIM, which means passing the order to our connectivity partner that activates it on the network; to send you your QR code and installation details; to answer your requests and help when an eSIM does not connect; to prevent fraud; and, if you asked for them, to send offers — which you can stop at any time from the link in the e-mail.
Who receives it
Our connectivity partner and the mobile networks that provide your connection, the payment provider you paid with, and the services that send our e-mail. Mobile networks may be required by the law of the country you travel to to keep records of connections. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires, typically seven years. Logs are kept for a few weeks. An account can be deleted on request at any time, apart from the order records the law requires us to keep.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need to keep it. Write to us at support@simwindy.com and we will answer within thirty days.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and only the people who need your details to serve your order can see them. Your eSIM's QR code is shown only to you, when you are signed in, and in the e-mail sent to you.
